It’s not fair that the majority—around 80% of people—are expected to buy new electric cars if they cannot afford them. Electric cars can only go about 250 miles before needing to be charged again. Most people don’t even know if the cost of charging is higher or lower than gas. Is it easy to find charging stations? Filling up a gas tank takes just 5 minutes, but what about charging? It takes much longer.

This transition is happening faster than people can comply. What will happen to gas and diesel vehicles once they become obsolete? Going all-electric doesn’t seem practical or even achievable in just 10 years!

It’s going to hurt the people who voted for you. We don’t want electric cars forced on us; it should be a choice.

California is going to crash! Did you know that mining the materials to make lithium batteries is more hazardous to the environment than carbon emissions? Also, there is no way to recycle these toxic batteries.

The jobs of many people are at stake.

Create infrastructure for charging electric car batteries and lower the cost of electric cars.

You can’t even sustain the power grid now. What makes you think it will be sustainable when all the gas cars are electric? What makes you think it’s sustainable for every single gas-powered tool in California to be electric? I don’t think you understand how some gas-powered tools are way more sustainable than battery-operated ones?

Not all of us have the resources to switch to electric. We depend on gas to survive!

Freedom to choose the type of vehicle one wants, without being pressured or forced to make changes I do not agree with.

I would like to know how California intends to dispose of car batteries that are not useful anymore? I believe they will contaminate more than the current automobiles.
