Levanta Tu Voz (Raise Your Voice) empowers Latino communities to advocate for fair and inclusive energy policies
California’s energy transition, while well intentioned, is leaving Latino communities behind.
Officials admit the cost of this transition will hit middle- and low-income families hardest – many of whom are Latino. Latinos are also the backbone of industries most at risk due to the state’s energy policies: agriculture, transportation, and construction.
Yet, legislators are failing to include the voices of hardworking Latino families, workers, and small business owners on energy and climate issues. Clean air and climate action matters but solutions must be fair and affordable for all.
Latinos deserve a voice on energy policies that directly affect our livelihood.
WHO WE ARE
Levanta Tu Voz is a program of the Western States Petroleum Association (WSPA). We work with – and listen to – Latino families and small businesses across California to understand how energy policies impact them, and to ensure their voices are heard.
