The transition from gas to electricity can be both expensive and unsuccessful. For example, bakeries rely on gas ovens to create perfectly delicious pastries—something electric ovens often fail to achieve. U.S. Latino farmworkers depend on agricultural employment to support and provide for their families. Many will be deeply affected by the high costs associated with this transition and the rising cost of electricity.
